Parent and Child Dialogue Scripts eCourse

This series will help you to really learn and incorporate the invaluable approaches of Problem Solving and Setting Limits into your daily challenges in the family.

Or if you work with parents, this will give you a lot of great content that you can share with your clients or groups (but do always credit the material to Genevieve). Different tools work at different times, and we’ll give you some important guidelines to help you figure out when best to use problem-solving and when holding a loving limit might be a much better support for your child.  Parents tend to avoid holding a limit when their child is already upset, yet a loving limit is often exactly what the child needs to bring them back to feeling much more safe, secure, held and supported.

There’s a fine line between holding a loving limit that moves the situation towards greater emotional safety or a expressing a limit in a way that leads to or escalates conflict, upset and distress.

This course has an overview of both Problem Solving and Loving Limits, what they each look like, how they’re different, and guidelines for these approaches to be most helpful and constructive.  To deepen your understanding, there’s a series of example scenario which walk you through applying the problem solving and the loving limits approaches in each example.

Understanding when, why and how to use these strategies with our children is an absolute game changer in any family.

The examples outline how a conversation might go but of course each situation is different and you’ll find your own unique style and the language that feels the most authentic for you.  But this Course will give you all your need to understand and gain enough clarity about using the tools for you to then be creative in applying these approaches from your heart with greater confidence.
