The sibling relationships are so tricky ah! After a relatively settled few days, today we’ve had the I have to get everything first thing and Sophia coming in and wanting me when I was helping Taine with his room so bugging him in the process.
Those are all great things we can include. In the meantime we’re more than happy to discuss ideas if…[Read more]

Hi all,
We’re working on our next eCourse – and of course you’ll be the first to access it!
We’d love to know what you want us to include. We’re thinking going deeper into how to support kids with conflict with examples of how that might look at various ages and some bonus modules around creating strong sibling relationships but are totally open…[Read more] -

Hi Libby,
Yes tricky finding that balance of being involved and encouraging free play.I think it’s great you’re making those times to play and connect with them to fill their tanks.
I’m wondering what sorts of interests / games they like? If you just sit nearby without offering any ideas what sorts of things will they engage in? I’m…[Read more]

Hi Nicola,
That all sounds so hard. And even harder I imagine being the holidays and having family visiting. Is it usual for him to respond this way or are the meltdowns bigger than usual? Does he often find it hard if things don’t go the way he was expecting or in transitions like going places? It sounds like you’re on the right track with…[Read more]

Hi Libby,
Are you finding the feeding has become too much again or you’re ok with it but worried it will? With it is it the grabby, demandingness you find hard? (I do remember that!) Or the frequency of the feeding?I’m wondering if when you are breastfeeding you really up the connection and really focus on your wee one – maybe telling her a…[Read more]

Hi Seonaid,
Such tricky decisions. I think a certain amount of off loading when having been in a group situation like kindy is normal. No matter how supportive the care, they are still away from you and dealing with lots of kids and new situations. My 9 year old still will be a bit niggly after a big day with other kids even with me there and…[Read more] -

Hi Nicky,
My kids are 9 & 10 now and I have a feeling it was about that age we started pocket money…for the same reasons! So we talk about us covering ‘needs’ and pocket money is for ‘wants’.
For us, it was not related to jobs or anything like that it was just for being part of our family and kept it very separate from helping out at home.…[Read more]

Hi Michelle,
So lovely to read your introduction and learn about you and your family.
