I’ve just listened to a talk by Kelly as part of the current mindfulness summit (lots of great audios!!). She presents lots of fascinating research about the different default modes of the human brain, and the brain imagining that’s seen in people who suffer from depression and social anxiety and the effects of trauma. What’s really interesting is that the only people whose default mode is more positive, calm and focused in the present moment (as opposed to searching for problems and obsessing with criticism of self and others) were those who regularly practiced one form or another of mindfulness and meditation.

Yes really loved it, I was delighted to see that she has other material on the net.
