Adults and children alike just need to eat yummy foods. We don’t need to eat unhealthy foods, we’ve just all been brainwashed into associated yumminess with that which is unhealthy. As a parent, it’s hard work doing the food thing, all day every day, we worry about our child’s health and stress about what they eat. One of the best ways of bringing in more peace of mind is to feel good about the food that the family is eating. It can seem like a lot of work to get the unhealthy foods out and bring in more of the good foods, but just start with one new recipe a week and slowly but surely you’ll be feeling so very proud of yourself for making the changes.
Healthy foods create an upward spiral of increased balance, health, wellbeing and harmony in the family. Increased focus and energy levels, decreased mood swings and irritability, improved sleep, while decreasing the chaotic manic energy (even when the dysregulation is created or contributed to by special needs).
I’ll share a few resources of website that offer recipes of meals you can make that are free from gluten, dairy, sugar, whole food, minimally processed and mostly plant based because this is what we eat in our family and hence the world of food that I’m in. And many people I know who are on the journey towards greater health through improving their food choices, they tend to enjoy learning more vegetarian and vegan meals to at cut down on the animal products. So whatever your choices around food, if you’re looking for inspiration around healthy meals, these website might be worth checking out.
