I’m sharing a link to Dr Josh Axe’s website. Along similar lines to Dr Mercola, he and his team have put together a ton of information relating to health, diet and nutrition.
I signed up for his gut healing eCourse at one stage and as a family we pretty much followed that program quite strictly for a couple of months, including buying certain herbs and supplements and going 100% sugar free including cutting out fruit and other high sugar foods like dates for that period and definitely felt the benefit.
Gut healing in an ongoing journey, it seems, for most people who learn more about the connections between gut health and our immune system and brain function. As far as alternative health and diet experts go, he’s pretty liberal in that even on a gut healing diet he recommends that you can have a glass of wine a day and a couple of cups of coffee, which seems to be contradictory to advice elsewhere. I think he’s appealing to the masses and wants to make his diet recommendations really doable, so a good person to read if you’re transitioning towards a healthier diet and tend to feel overwhelmed by people like David Wolf, the raw food guru and the health experts who are more specific to vegetarian, vegan or raw. He himself eats meat and dairy products (which isn’t for our family), but just letting you know in case that’s a deal breaker for you.
For most people their health, nutrition and diet journey is an ongoing process with steps forward and steps backwards, with incremental positive changes as well as times of more radical change. Dr Axe’s website and advice is super accessible.
