      What were your lightbulb moments?

Well, that it is always about ME when I struggle! I have realised that before and have slipped back into blaming others (eg Manawas toileting…)..
Also, sometimes I am not actually centred yet, but I use the sentences (That is hard…You really wanted…etc) to buy time, whilst I centre inwardly…good trick for me!

      What really resonated this week?

Finding my OWN limits. Especially in connection with my partner… I tend to be so diplomatic that I dont get my own needs met, so communicating MY needs and limits, whilst trying to still be compassionate to him.

What are you wondering about? What is still tricky or confusing?

Finding ways to get my own needs met without relying on everyone else.

      Any other musings or insights?

What is your small success this week?
      Manawas toileting!

Hi Franzi I love the idea that the empathetic sentences have the duel purpose of offering empathy to your little one but also giving you a little extra time to get centered. I hadn’t thought of that before, but it is like that for me, too. Just saying the sentences gives my brain that extra time it needs to shift out of a reactionary state.

Acknowledging that you have needs that deserve to be met and figuring out ways to meet those needs – that is big. And once you start meeting those needs more regularly, centering will be easier.

      Huge yay! for the toileting!
